ACTIVITIES

At Covecrest, we have lots of sports activities that give your group plenty of space to play. Our big, grassy hills are perfect for games and all kinds of team sports.

If you want some more adrenaline, or are eager to help build your group dynamics, we offer both a guided high & low ropes challenge course that encourages teamwork and builds camaraderie.

Our high ropes course includes dynamic elements such as a rock wall and cargo net, as well as a static koala course that ends in a zip line through the trees!

Whether you’re looking for a climb up into the sky or some great sports, Covecrest has plenty to offer!

WHERE TO PRAY

Covecrest provides incredible peace and quiet to concentrate on prayer with an abundance of trails, meeting spaces, a rosary walk, Stations of the Cross, a Marian Grotto, and our chapels with the Blessed Sacrament (Notre Dame & St. Stephen).

WHO ARE WE

Covecrest is a part of the movement of Life Teen, whose mission is to lead teens closer to Christ. We are a retreat center, mission base, and summer camp, but most importantly, we are a home to all who set foot on our grounds.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR RETREAT

In addition to providing meeting spaces, meals, sleeping quarters, and moderated activities, the community at Covecrest is ready to help make your retreat a success!

We assign full-time missionaries to each group that comes to Covecrest. We strive to assist with whatever you need help with; our goal is to provide whatever you need to help your retreat run smoothly. We prepare for your arrival by making sure rooms are blessed and prepared, as well as by praying for you and your teens by name before the Blessed Sacrament. It is our joy to serve you!

Programming

As a Catholic community centered on Christ and His teachings, our main mission and desire is to love well. No matter who comes through our door, we try to do everything possible to make you feel welcomed and loved. Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted with a large smile and the familiar words of, “Welcome home.” This is your home, and we want to do everything we can to make it feel like home for you and your group.

Audio & Visual

Our two largest meeting spaces, John Paul the Great Theater and Mary’s Chapel, are fully equipped for your music ministry and your media presentations. You bring the instruments and your laptop, and all you have to do is plug in and get started. If you need technical help, we’re here for that, too!

DONATE TO CAMP COVECREST

For over two decades, we’ve been welcoming home thousands of teens, youth ministers, parishes, core teams, visitors and other groups from all around the world. Over the years, Covecrest has been able to grow thanks to generous donations allowing us to find new ways to serve every person that walks onto our grounds.

QUESTIONS ABOUT ACCOMMODATIONS

No! All groups are welcome and encouraged to retreat at Covecrest.  We host Christians of all denominations and groups from the community that would like a retreat

Campers and chaperones are housed in various cabins that feature twin bunk beds. Therefore, our facilities are primarily geared towards youth and young adult retreats.

We do not host weddings or family reunions at our facilities.

Typically, we have 2-3 groups here during a weekend.

Yes, you may have exclusive use of the camp with a guaranteed minimum of 200 guests.

For weekend retreats, you will need a sleeping bag or bedding, a towel, personal care items, and flashlight. Be sure to bring good walking shoes for a hike to the beautiful waterfalls. If your group is doing the High or Low Rope Courses, you will need closed-toe shoes.

Camp utilizes a commercial kitchen so groups are unable to cook their own meals, but we will work hard to keep you fed and enjoying each meal during your time with us!

Yes, we have special housing for clergy. Where they are housed depends on the number of clergy that need housing that weekend.  Mike’s Place and St. John XXIII are primarily used for our visiting clergy. Make sure to let us know if you have clergy attending to be sure we have housing available the weekend of your retreat.

We have all the amenities for Mass and Adoration. We do our best to accommodate all groups. However, depending on group schedules, supplies may not be available for everyone. Therefore, you may need to bring the necessary supplies.

Each year, our missionaries put on 8th grade retreats in the Fall and a Confirmation retreat in the Spring. Call or email to request more information about these retreats. Outside of these events, if you’re interested in having support in planning a retreat or in having a fully missions led retreat, get in touch with us and we’ll see how we can help.

Campfires are always an option for your group and are included in your lodging fee.  Indicate your interest in a campfire on your retreat request form.

Quiet Hours are 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. every day.  Please be respectful of the other groups and the homeowners who live near the camp.
