DESCRIPTION
This position would have oversight responsibility for the Youth Ministry staff and volunteers at the parish. The program offers Life nights and Edge nights at each church. There are 2 Life Teen retreats, 1 in the fall and a 2nd in the spring that would be planned with volunteers and attended. There is also an Edge retreat in the summer. Sacrament classes for High School & Jr High students, concluding with a mass in the Spring is also the responsibility of this position.
St Mary Roman Catholic Parish is home to 2 churches in Chandler AZ. St Mary Church is located near downtown Chandler and is the first Catholic Church in Chandler, built in 1957. St Juan Diego Church is located in southeast Chandler and was built in 2018. Our Life Teen ministry meets weekly, with 60+ teens at each church. The Edge ministry also meets at each church once per week with approximately 45+ Jr High students. We also offer weekly sacrament classes for our High School & Jr High students. And we have a teen mass on Sunday evenings at St Juan Diego at 4:30 p.m.
