The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
The Men’s Retreat sponsored by Life Teen is a weekend of brotherhood, restoration, and inspiration. You can expect to hear engaging talks, to enjoy some outdoor fun in the beauty of the north Georgia mountains, and most importantly, to encounter God through the sacraments and times of prayer. Adult men (18+) of all ages and walks of life are invited to attend this retreat.

Title: Youth Ministry Coordinator
Position Reports To: Director of Faith Formation
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Job Summary & Foundational Requirements
The primary focus of the Youth Ministry Coordinator is leading the Edge Middle School Ministry (grades 6-8) and provides additional support for Life Teen (grades 9-12). The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in leading a youth ministry program, a bachelor’s degree, and some formal study of theology and catechesis. A mature personal spiritual life grounded in prayer, frequent reception of the sacraments, openness to the Holy Spirit, discernment of God’s Will, and personal commitment to a life of discipleship are necessary. The Coordinator should understand the processes of evangelization, discipleship, and mission – all in effort of conversion to the Gospel, especially among youth.
Edge (grades 6-8)
Design, plan, execute & evaluate weekly Edge Nights
Market & promote Edge to parish & community
Communicate with parents & parish, specifically to retain and expand the program
Develop, plan, execute & evaluate a multi-day retreat experience each semester
Incorporate service and social opportunities into catechetical and evangelistic curriculum
Build and maintain an adult core team to serve at Edge Nights
Incorporate and form High School teens in leadership roles
Be present at St. Timothy Catholic School on a weekly basis
Discipleship Group (grades 9-12)
Assist with designing, planning, executing & evaluating weekly Discipleship Group for H.S. teens to help foster extended relational ministry, more in-
depth catechesis, and a call to mission
Assist with marketing & promoting Discipleship Group to parish & community
Manage “Loft Open Hours” in conjunction with Discipleship Group
Assist in planning, executing and evaluating weekly Life Nights, special events & trips
Be present to the general parish at liturgies and events
Attend staff and department meetings as required
Implement, promote and enforce Diocesan Safe Environment Training requirements for volunteers & youth
Adhere to personnel practices of the Diocese of Phoenix and applicable parish policies & procedures
Perform any task deemed necessary by the Pastor or his delegate
Skills & Qualifications:
Understand the dynamics of evangelization, conversion, the Catechumenate Model & Ecclesial Method
Enthusiastically communicate the Gospel to youth, teen, and adult Core
Be a practicing Catholic in good standing
Be self-motivated, imaginative, energetic, reliable
Have initiative, creativity, excellent organizational skills, an ability to multitask, sensitivity to the needs of people, & sound judgment regarding safety
Multitask, work independently, with minimal supervision & frequent interruptions
Have 2+ years’ experience in leading a ministry program, a bachelor’s degree, & formal study of theology & catechesis
Have the ability to equip teens to live as disciples of Jesus, including discernment of Vocation
Know Microsoft Applications & appropriate current technology to communicate professionally and effectively, especially with co-workers and youth
Communicate effectively and resolve conflict with youth, parents, volunteers, & co-workers
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive/personal information
Recognize Safe Environment boundary violations and know reporting policies & practices
Work night and weekends as required with a variable weekly schedule
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Have reliable personal transportation
Be dedicated to the community of St. Timothy & the liturgical life of the parish

St. Timothy Catholic Church is seeking someone who is on fire with the Holy Spirit to assist within our parish Youth Ministry. This suburban-Phoenix area evangelistic Catholic Church has an immediate opening for a Youth Ministry Coordinator to serve a parish with more than 2600 registered families. The successful candidate must be well-formed in Catholic theology and spirituality, and comfortable sharing his/her faith with others. Our search committee is seeking someone with a mature personal spiritual life grounded in prayer, frequent reception of the sacraments, and sound moral behavior at all times. The Coordinator will serve as a strong example to teens and the parish community, and must be someone who understands the dynamics of conversion. The Coordinator must be knowledgeable about Life Teen ministry format, comply with Diocesan Safe Environment requirements and be able to lift 50#. A degree in theology, religious education or a related field is preferred; will consider 4-5 years of equivalent experience with HS Diploma. Certification in youth ministry is a plus.
