Videography Intern – Life Teen Summer Camp

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for the planning, shooting, editing, and sharing of each week’s camp video, as well as documenting the highlights of each week of camp and making a consistent effort to be shooting as much as possible of the teens participating in camp activities. Communicates with necessary members of the creative support team regarding the progress of each week’s videos.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Create a 5-7 minute video for each week of camp that highlights the campers’ experiences throughout each week.
  • Creatively capture footage of campers participating in camp activities.
  • Communicate with creative support team on progress of the video throughout the week.
  • Produce final cut of the camp video by end of the last full day of camp each week and send to Film & Video Coordinator.
  • Ensure camp video is uploaded and ready to be presented on Saturday morning (or last day of camp).
  • Assist with social media postings, special video projects, and relational ministry whenever possible.
  • Ensure equipment is organized and safe at all times.
  • Ensure timely attendance to all scheduled camp activities. – Maintain consistent communication with Program Coordinator on any schedule changes.
  • Practice obedience to the Life Teen Summer Missions Rule of Life.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as needed.

  • Ability to work independently and to also work collaboratively as a team when needed.
  • Strong ability to take initiative and remain self-motivated with superior time management skills

  • Motivated by love of teens, youth ministers, and core members.
  • Ability to humbly take direction and correction.
  • Superior social skills and a strong sense of hospitality towards all guests.
  • Ability to learn and implement new methods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must understand storytelling and how to aid the audience in re-living the emotions and events from each week of camp.
  • Experience in shooting and editing videos while knowing that it’s more than a task – it’s creating a piece of art that is meant to evoke emotions and memories.
