Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall mission and operation of Life Teen Camp Hidden Lake to ensure the camp is serving the mission of Life Teen. Ensure that summer camp and all activity at the camp facility is deeply rooted in prayer and community so that the camp will be more than a site or facility; it will be home and a lighthouse.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

Missions Community Standards:

• Develop a rhythm of prayer and sacraments (personal and community) with all activity and decisions flowing out of this life of prayer, community, and mission within Life Teen.
• Discipleship of missionaries at Camp Hidden Lake.

Radical Hospitality:

• Foster a personal and team culture of radical hospitality where Christ is the guest and Christ is the host in us which communicates to every guest “Welcome Home, we have been expecting you”.

Ministry Operations Oversight:

• Oversee Retreats, Summer Camp, and Special Events operations ensuring effective communication, timely preparedness, radical hospitality, and fruitful execution of programming for all guests and their needs during their time at camp.

Budgeting and Action Plans:

• Prepare annual Camp Hidden Lake Team Action Plan and Budget while overseeing daily finances and providing updated quarterly reports for both budget and action plan.

Professional Development:

• Oversee continual professional and spiritual development personally and for direct reports, providing bi- annual opportunities.

Facility Operations:

• Coordinate with Facility Director to ensure Hidden Lake is at optimal maintenance, safety, and operational standards for all guest during retreats, special events, and summer camp.

Growth and Development:

• In collaboration with Camps and Missions Team, help develop/update Hidden Lake Master Plan. Develop physical aspects of camp to support summer camp and parish retreats.

Marketing and Exposure:

• In collaboration with other teams, develop and increase marketing efforts, to yield optimal retreat bookings, increase missions recruitment, and overall exposure.
• Work with Web Team ensuring Hidden Lake web access is operable and updated.

Ministry Advancement:

• Aid Life Teen Advancement Team in fundraising for Camps and Missions Team.
• Speaking at various Life Teen events.

Emergency Response & Safety

• Update and develop Emergency Action Plan and safety procedures ensuring Camp Hidden Lake is always in a posture to respond to emergencies appropriately and effectively and to provide a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Ensuring staff is trained in EAP and annual First Aid Training.
