DESCRIPTION
The Director will work closely with pastors, parish leaders, volunteers, families, and diocesan offices to develop, implement, and evaluate youth ministry initiatives that support the mission of the Church. Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, fostering strong parish relationships, coordinating ministry programs and events, training and supporting youth ministry leaders and volunteers, supervising staff, working with the Board of Directors, and overseeing the ministry’s budget, fundraising efforts, and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate is a committed Catholic in good standing with the Church who has a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for evangelization. Candidates should possess strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with experience in youth ministry or a related Catholic ministry. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and or at least five years of relevant youth ministry experience. Proficiency with computers, websites, social media, and budget management is expected.
This position offers the opportunity to inspire and equip the next generation of Catholic leaders while helping strengthen youth ministry throughout Northern Rhode Island. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
For more than 70 years, the Northern Rhode Island Catholic Youth Ministry, through the Fr. Marot CYO Center, has been serving the youth, young adults, and families of Northern Rhode Island by fostering faith, discipleship, leadership, and community. Working in partnership with local parishes and the Diocese of Providence, the ministry provides retreats, leadership formation, service opportunities, faith-based programs, and special events that help young people deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and become active participants in the life of the Church.
