DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
Provide a welcoming voice to guests visiting Covecrest, as well as organize details for retreats and financials for Covecrest.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Foster radical hospitality where Christ is the guest and Christ is the host in us.
  • Serve youth ministers in booking and coordination of  retreats.
  • Coordinate housing for all guests.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Covecrest staff and missionaries all retreat schedules and needs of guests.
  • Communicate cleaning needs and expectations for cleaning facilities to cleaning crew.
  • Manage and report routine Covecrest expenses to Life Teen Finance Team.
  • Oversee general office management – supply ordering, equipment maintenance, and office cleanliness.
  • Coordinate seasonal camp decorations.
  • Oversee keeping chapel supplies stocked.
  • Work with missionaries to host groups on weekends.
  • Work with Food Service Coordinator to ensure guests have proper food/hospitality items in homes upon arrival.
  • Execute follow up with youth ministers and guests to ensure their satisfaction and thank them for their Covecrest visit.
  • Manage Camp Store (Outpost) and Art Barn.
    • Work with other areas of Life Teen to supply product for Outpost.
    • Order product for Art Barn and create new projects.
    • Manage and report Outpost and Art Barn expenses and revenue to Life Teen Finance Team.
    • Oversee all volunteers who work in the Outpost and Art Barn.
  • Provide hospitality and communication to all visiting priests, hosts, musicians, seminarians, religious sisters, nurses,  and their families before their arrival and during their visit.
  • Manage all camper paperwork including medical forms, parental authorization, and liability waivers.
  • Manage and minister to office, wellness assistant(s), hospitality,  photo, video and social media service crew.
  • Coordinate supplying each summer camp week with medical supplies.
  • Adhere to Rule of Life and Community Standards.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as needed.

Direct Reports to this Position: Guest Experience Specialist, Hospitality Apprentice

Success Factors:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in working on a computer and ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and faith.
  • Well-developed sense of workflow, time management, and prioritization of projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work as a team.
  • Ability to manage personnel and provide direction to others.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and hospitality with a servant’s heart and ministry mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a heart for taking care of others.
  • Creative with original ideas and a keen eye for aesthetics/details.
