DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Evangelization is responsible for developing and managing faith-based initiatives that serve the Benedictine College Community, specifically through the Hospitality Team, Acts Team, and Music Team programs. The Coordinator of Evangelization will partner with key departments and groups across the college including FOCUS and SPO, the Academic Music Department, the Director of Student Activities, and Athletic Coaches. The Coordinator of Evangelization will consult with the College Chaplain on all Liturgical Music. The Coordinator of Evangelization must take the Oath of Fidelity agreeing to be faithful to teach/ train on the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Direct the Hospitality Ministry Team
1. Train student leaders to carry out a hospitality ministry consistent with the college’s Benedictine mission
2. Lead students to provide hospitality at all Liturgical functions, especially Sunday Masses and College Ministry events
3. Encourage vocations by leading students to coordinate vocational visits, spiritual direction resources, and Vocations Fair. This includes managing and meeting budget for these events.
2. Direct the Acts Team
1. Oversee and develop evangelization opportunities to specific demographics on campus including the off campus population and student athletes in collaboration with the Spirtual Captains program
2. Lead students to successfully host evangelization events such as tailgates at home football games. Create and grow new initiatives to evangelize on campus. Manage the allocated budget associated.
3. Lead students to host events such as the Festival of Light and Block Parties with the student leaders on the Acts Team by directing student teams
3. Direct the Music Team
1. Collaborate with the Chaplain on all Liturgical Music
2. Train student directors to recruit and form their weekly Mass choir ensuring regular attendance, excellence, and adherence to our Liturgical Music policies
3. Responsible for the excellence of Liturgical Music at all Masses. This includes regular attendance at all Sunday and daily Masses and a high level of responsibility of the Music if not in attendance through effective leadership
