Position Summary:

Responsible for facilitating the various aspects of lighting, sound, and video throughout camp as well as facilitating the camp experience as part of the program team. Coordinate with the priests, hosts, and musicians every week for any specific A/V needs for the various sessions, Masses and more. Set the tone, mood, and pace of summer camp by controlling the lights and sound. Responsible for the set up and break down of any equipment needed to provide sound or lighting away from the main meeting areas.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper level and visuals of the lights, sound, and video for all sessions and Masses throughout each camp week.
• Maintain knowledge of the sound board set up in order to ensure clean and continuous sound levels during each session.
• Ensure the main meeting space and chapel are ready at the beginning of each camp week prior to the arrival of campers.
• Meet with the host, musician, and priest prior to the first session and first Mass to see if there are any specific A/V needs.
• Ensure priest, host, and musician understand how to use the equipment, provide any extra equipment they may need, and control sound levels during sessions and Masses.
• Work with the musician to confirm lyrics on ProPresenter for all songs utilized throughout each camp week.
• Set up and breakdown any A/V equipment as needed for outdoor Mass or activities.
• Maintain portable sound system for music and announcements at the various remote locations around camp.
• Be present for every evening session and provide additional assistance for the program team as needed.
• Assist in the facilitation of the high ropes course as needed. – Practice obedience to the Life Teen Summer Missions Rule of Life.
• Complete other projects and tasks as needed.
