Last week I stayed up studying for a test until 6 in the morning. Not because I’m obsessed with studying and getting straight A’s. Actually pretty far from it. I had to make up for my laziness and procrastination.
God reveals himself to us because He is our Father and we are his beloved children. Knowing His name means we can know Him. Blessed be God’s holy name, indeed.
I don't like to show my weaknesses, but over the past few months, this is something I have really focused on. I would have never thought that I could glorify God in my weaknesses.
Big V Vocation is for all of us. We each have a divine calling written on our hearts, a life through which we reach heaven and lead others there, too.
As a result I have so many fun memories of great adventures, a true understanding of the importance of prayer time, and a list of numerous hobbies I love.
All these changes signal the start of a very important season, but in order to get the best out of Advent, we have to do a little bit more than decking the halls and putting the good silver out.
Before setting your resolution for the year, examine your heart. Are you trying to fix something because you dislike yourself, or are you trying to improve because you love yourself and want to glorify God in all that you do? Invite the Lord into your intentions!
What are you going to do for a whole summer without these people? How will you continue to grow in your faith without your regular meetings, Bible studies, praise and worship nights, socials, and retreats?
I knew that through Reconciliation my sins had been absolved, but I still didn’t feel like I had adequately “paid” for them.
