Position Summary:

At Life Teen Camp Covecrest, every role is a called to ministry. The Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities Team by helping maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of camp property. Through assisting with maintenance, landscaping, and activity preparation, this role helps create an environment where guests can encounter Jesus and feel the warmth of radical hospitality.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

Ministry & Hospitality

• Provide radical hospitality to all guests, living the truth that Christ is both the Guest and the Host within us.
• Assist in preparation of camp each week for retreat groups, ensuring spaces are clean, safe, and ready for ministry.
• Assist in creating and maintaining outdoor activity spaces that encourage relational ministry and team building.

Facilities & Grounds Support

• Assist with maintenance and repairs of buildings and structures throughout camp property.
• Support the execution of routine and preventative building maintenance schedules and rotations.
• Assist in all scheduled landscaping operations including mowing, weed control, trimming, tree work, and mulching.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Carry out corrective and routine maintenance tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Activity Support

• Help maintain and facilitate ropes course activities and equipment, ensuring safety and proper certification.
• Assist in coordinating summer activities training, certification, and facilitation.

Emergency & Safety Response

• Perform emergency or disaster-response duties as assigned.

Community Life

• Adhere to the Rule of Life and Community Standards.
• Serve in additional capacities as needed to support the mission of the camp.
