DESCRIPTION
St. Laurence Catholic Church is seeking a spirit filled Youth & Young Adult Minister to lead and minister to high school teens weekly. This individual will play a critical role in preparing and engaging 200+ candidates through Confirmation preparation, weekly faith formation as well as special events including Steubenville Conferences, Camp Covecrest/Hidden Lake camps and overnight retreats. Our Young Adult ministry gives support to the faith development of post-college young adults. Applicants should possess experience in Youth Ministry with a college degree, preferably in theology or pastoral ministry with theological knowledge that respects the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston’s norms. The ideal candidate thrives in serving and teaching the faith, possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask. The candidate should be well organized and have a collaborative disposition to work with parish leadership, staff, and volunteers. Finally, a deep love for our Catholic faith is key to success in this role.

Located in Sugar Land, TX, a suburb of Houston, we have a creative and professional team of staff and dedicated volunteers who offer a variety of opportunities for faith development to a diverse parish of over 7,500 families. St. Laurence is a stewardship church, a place to call home with a community of people who desire not only to be disciples of Christ but also evangelizers of His message.
