Formation Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
The Formation Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the formation of students through the RIM (Relationship, Identity, Mission) model. This position focuses on the coordination and execution of formation initiatives, with particular attention to weekly Wednesday night gatherings and OCIA. Working closely with the ministry team, the Formation Coordinator helps ensure that each aspect of formation is thoughtfully implemented to foster students’ relationship with Christ, deepen their identity as beloved sons and daughters of God the Father, and encourage a missionary spirit lived out in daily life.

Key Responsibilities:

RIM Formation:
– Wednesday Night Formation: Coordinate and execute weekly gatherings, including Adoration Nights, Community Nights, and Leaders Nights, ensuring each is well-organized and supports the RIM model of formation.
– Recruit and support student volunteers to share testimonies and assist with Wednesday night gatherings
– Create and maintain a schedule for staff, missionaries, and guest speakers
– Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop clear and compelling promotional materials (social media and print) for each event
– Establish and uphold a high standard for the production and physical environment of each Formation event, ensuring spaces are welcoming, intentional, and well-prepared

Sacramental Preparation:
– Provide strategic oversight and accountability for the OCIA program, ensuring it is rooted in the RIM model and aligned with the mission of the Church and the Center.
– Design and develop the program structure, incorporating mentorship, resource development, small group components, or other elements as needed.
– Collaborate closely with chaplain, preparing materials, content outlines, and logistics so he (and others) can walk in and teach effectively without having to manage the operational or pastoral details of each session.
– Keep a record of all sacramental needs for each student and require all needed information
– Create and maintain a schedule for staff, missionaries, and guest speakers
– In collaboration with staff, expected to teach at OCIA
– Responsible to be at the majority of OCIA nights.
– Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop clear and compelling promotional materials (social media and print)
– Establish and uphold a high standard for the production and physical environment of each OCIA, ensuring spaces are welcoming, intentional, and well-prepared

Accompaniment & Discipleship:
– Ensure that all students in OCIA are receiving one-on-one mentorship
– Personally accompany a select group of students
