DESCRIPTION
The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will minister to the youth of the community (high school-aged, junior high school-aged [grades 6–8], and young adults) through vibrant, comprehensive Catholic youth ministry. The goal is to lead teens closer to Christ and form missionary disciples. This individual will serve as a collaborative member of the parish team.
Position Responsibilities include partnering with the Director of Youth Ministry to plan and facilitate high school and middle school youth ministry events. This includes weekly Edge Nights and Life Nights, retreats, summer conferences, off-site events, etc. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry is expected to cultivate relationships with teens and their families, inviting them to a personal encounter with Christ.
The youth minster will form and equip a core team to assist with youth ministry events. They will also assist in forming teen leaders.
As an integral part of the team, the Coordinator of Youth Ministry will maintain a presence at both Holy Trinity and St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception schools. They will assist with VBS, the summer Bosco/Drexel Missionary program, and the 8th grade confirmation retreat.
