DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Pastor, the Youth Minister is responsible for assisting in the management of the Youth Ministry program for the Parish. The ideal candidate shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both academically and behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life. Rooted in the model and spirituality of Life Teen International, the Youth Minister will serve as a joyful witness of the Gospel accompanying teens as they grow in faith and become active members of the Church and will cultivate a vibrant environment where teens encounter Jesus Christ through the Sacraments, authentic community, solid catechesis, and missionary discipleship. This will include planning and implementing weekly Sunday Life Nights, annual retreats, service projects and social events; coordinating youth participation in Sunday Mass and recruiting, training, and leading adult Core Team members, providing an ongoing spiritual formation and leadership development for volunteers.
