Steubenville Lone Star Volunteer Registration 2024

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

To volunteer at a Life Teen Steubenville Conference, the following requirements must be met:

Volunteers must commit to serving the entire weekend from 10am on Friday until 3pm on Sunday.
Volunteers must be compliant with their (Arch) Diocese’s Safe Environment policies and must have cleared a background check.
Volunteers must be at least 19 years old and a minimum of 6 months out of high school at the time of the conference. Prayer Team members must be 21 years or older.
Volunteers must understand that they are there to serve the needs of the conference, not to participate in the conference.
Volunteers are expected to attend the Volunteer Mass on Friday.
Volunteers must wear the designated Steubenville volunteer t-shirt and wristband the entire weekend.
Lodging is not provided. Volunteers have the option to commute or to book hotel rooms at their own expense.
The following meals will be provided for volunteers: Friday lunch & dinner, Saturday lunch & dinner, Sunday lunch.

Complete the Registration Form below.
Download, print, fill out, and have your pastor sign the Safe Environment Compliance Form. Then submit that form via the online digital paperwork platform.
Complete the Liability Release Form and Code of Conduct Form via the online digital paperwork platform. The link to access this will be provided in your registration confirmation email once you complete the form below.

Prayer Team
- Take direction from Prayer Team Lead and Chapel Team Lead
- Must have previous experience praying with teens
- Provide intercessory prayer for participants, staff, speaking team
- Be present during Eucharistic Adoration being watchful of any participants who are in distress or spiritually overwhelmed and pray with them or seek assistance
Logistics Team
- Take direction from the Logistics Team Lead
- Greet participants as they arrive to the Convention Center and direct them to relevant areas
- Be present in the venue during transition times to facilitate the movement of the crowd
- Be available to participants for questions and directions
- Assist with crowd control during the service of meals
- Direct buses to designated parking areas
- Keep outside loading and unloading areas safe for teens
Liturgy Team
- Take direction from the Liturgy Team Lead
- Move liturgy equipment on and off the stage
- Prepare the space and equipment for all liturgies and adoration
- Practice and participate in a variety of roles for the adoration procession
- Assist priests and deacons throughout the conference
Usher Team
- Take direction from Usher Team Lead
- Provide assistance with seating and direct traffic flow within an assigned area of Main Stage venue
- Help facilitate collections during Masses
- Distribute materials to attendees as needed
Hospitality/Transportation Team
- Take direction from the Hospitality Lead
- Be present to and willing to assist those your team is serving (volunteers, staff, priests or youth)
- Assist with transportation to and from the airport for Ministry Team members and Life Teen staff.
Reconciliation Team
- Take direction from the Reconciliation Team Lead
- Assist in providing a quiet and reflective atmosphere for reconciliation
- Provide radical hospitality to priests hearing confessions
- Help participants enter into the experience by answering questions and managing line flow
First Aid Team
-Must be a doctor, nurse or EMT currently licensed in Texas
-Provide basic first aid to participants, chaperones, volunteers and staff

- Take direction from the Life Teen staff member running the store.
- Assist in the set up and tear down of the store before and after the conference.
- Assist in customer service in the store throughout the conference.

Optional Donation
The expenses incurred for each volunteer to be on site at the conference equates to roughly $65. All volunteers have the opportunity to assist in covering those expenses by making a donation of any amount they are able to contribute. We are so grateful for your willingness to volunteer your time at the Steubenville Conference and greatly appreciate any financial contribution you are able to make as well. Thank you!
