ABOUT PARISH/ SCHOOL/ ORGANIZATION

Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church evolved from the blending of two earlier Mission churches, both dedicated to Mary’s Holy Name—Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The history, rich and varied, is worth recalling, not only for the purpose of appreciating the present in all its accumulated richness, but also in acknowledging and preserving our heritage and the innumerable contributions of all those who have preceded us. “From two tiny Mexican churches built by the people themselves, Holy Name of Mary parish has developed into a thriving, progressive church which continues to strive for the original goal—to worship and adore Almighty God in the finest possible way,” and to continue to plan for and commit ourselves to our future and our continued growth as a community.
