Job Description:

Life Teen is seeking a Creative Director to lead our creative crusade within the realm of youth ministry. You will be the guiding star behind our marketing campaigns, event branding, and digital presence, ensuring our message reaches our target audience in a way that is both captivating and impactful. Additionally, you will serve as the arbiter of aesthetic and thematic coherence across the organization.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Branding: Safeguard the consistency and integrity of the Life Teen brand across all platforms and materials.
  • Campaigns: Create and oversee marketing campaigns that make our mission shine.
  • Storytelling: Craft compelling stories for our website, newsletters, and social media.
  • Collaboration: Support the Vice President of Marketing on strategic vision, branding & creative design, ensuring cohesive brand representation.
  • Team Management: Directly manage and mentor Senior Designers & Social Media team, fostering their professional growth & project success.
  • Innovation: Stay up to date on the latest design trends and technologies, integrating innovative solutions and ensuring Life Teen remains at the forefront of design.
  • Design: Lead the design process from concept to completion.
  • Visual: Design engaging graphics for web, print, and digital media that captivate and communicate Life Teen’s message.
  • Digital: Enhance our online presence with design and content strategies that attract followers and further our mission.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the creative budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and showcase ability to maximize resources.
  • External Collaboration: Engage with external agencies or freelancers to project manage creative work when needed through to completion.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Partner with project management to regularly report on project statuses, team performance, and other relevant metrics for the Marketing Division.

  • I have 9+ years graphic design (or related field of art/marketing) experience.
  • I have a proven track record of leading successful campaigns (in-house or at an agency) in a creative leadership role (or similar), with a portfolio I am proud of.
  • I have 6+ years of experience leading a creative team.
  • I have a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Design, Fine Arts, Communication, or a related field.
  • I have a high-level proficiency and advanced knowledge of graphic design software, such as but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CameraRaw, etc.
  • I have a keen eye for aesthetics as well as a passion for storytelling with exceptional writing and marketing skills.
  • I am self-motivated and continuously seek to develop and grow personally within the design/marketing field.
  • I enjoy thinking outside the box and bringing fresh ideas to traditional practices.
  • I seek innovation and embrace challenging the status quo.
  • I have a knowledge of analytics, creative brand management, and marketing.
  • I am proficient at workflow management, time management, and project prioritization.
  • I have a deep understanding and respect for Catholic values and teachings, with the ability to weave them into creative projects.
  • I want to join a team of passionate, faith-filled individuals committed to making a difference in the world of youth ministry.
