People are continuing to die, lose their jobs, have their normal routines disrupted, be kept separate from their loved ones that are most vulnerable, and miss out on significant life events, like graduations. As a result, it isn’t surprising to learn that many are wondering where God is at in all of this or asking why God is letting something so destructive have such a strong hold on our world.
The biggest lesson that Jesus is trying to teach here is that loving anything more than God, including money, will make it extremely difficult to enter Heaven. That said, we can’t ignore that Jesus specifically called out and focused on a love of money on many different occasions.

In reality, doubt can be a wonderful thing and it isn’t something that should scare anyone. Sometimes, it can be a tool that God uses to encourage you to dive deeper, refocus on your relationship with Him, or to get you thinking about the hard questions you’ve always wanted the answers for.
Seriously – Jesus really does love you. This isn’t just a nice idea that we tell ourselves. It’s true. That being said, we should all try to do a better job of remembering what that really means for us. One good way to do this is to consider taking up a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. Your goal shouldn’t be to figure out how to be an extrovert. I promise that they don’t have a monopoly on making friends.
In reality, none of these examples has anything to do with masculinity. Telling someone to “man up” in situations like these not only spreads incorrect ideas about what makes a man a man, but it also can also belittle others and make them wonder if there is something wrong with them – all because of an arbitrary, silly stereotype that managed to become popular.
There are many reasons why people conclude that the Church is bigoted. Often, I have found that the source of this struggle is a result of looking at the Church’s teachings from an unhelpful perspective or misunderstanding the nature of sin.
Christian love can manifest in many different ways, but, right now, it would seem that at least one of them should be to put trivial differences aside, put our indifference aside, and stand unwaveringly beside our Jewish neighbors against violence and anti-Semitism.
