Summit reflection video for The Second Sunday in Lent with Joel Stepanek.
Covecrest is more than a retreat center and summer camp. Covecrest is a community of Catholics committed to transforming teens, transforming parishes, and transforming culture. Will you join us?
Hidden Lake is home to an incredible Catholic community, gorgeous views, welcoming meeting spaces and so much more. Dedicated to leading teens closer to Christ, we hope you'll be welcomed home to Hidden Lake soon.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.
Camp Covecrest // December 18 - 21
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
The Lord desires more fruitfulness for you- it's not always about rooting out sin or about doing more for the Lord. Praise and worship, prayer teams, dynamic talks, reconciliation and spiritual direction are what make john 15 the #bestretreatever
Remain in me as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.
Without Him you can do nothing; so what have you been doing without Him? Spend four days remembering how to surrender self-reliance and independence. Reconnect and recommit to the Lord and to the community you’ve found in summer missions.
By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
Remember how to love because you have been so loved. Remember how to forgive because you have been so forgiven. Remember how to give because you have received. Discipleship is the fruit that lasts beyond our time as a summer missionary. Remember how to create disciples because you have been one.
With the safety of each participant and community member in mind, this year we have purposely kept the retreat smaller in size to allow for increased social distancing measures. Groups will be organized by summer staff/service crew session throughout the retreat to accommodate state guidelines. Sessions in the main room, chapel and dining will be socially distanced by group. Sleeping arrangements will be broken up by gender and summer staff/service crew session. In addition we are requiring the following from each participant:
-A covid test must have been taken within 5 days of arrival to the retreat, dated Sunday December 13 or later. The negative test result is required upon arrival to camp.
-Masks are required to attend, they will not be provided. A mask must be worn while indoors in the main room, chapel, and dining room when not eating or drinking.
-In addition to receiving a negative covid test we ask each participant to self assess: 1) Have you or anyone in your household had covid like symptoms in the past 14 days?2) Have you or anyone in your household tested positive for covid in the last 14 days? 3) Have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for covid within the last 14 days? If the answer is yes to any of these questions you will not be permitted to participate in the retreat. We ask for your complete cooperation in answering honestly. If it is necessary to cancel due to covid you will be given a full refund.
Thank you for taking these measures seriously so that we can protect the health and well being of everyone in attendance. We are excited to safely encounter Christ with each of you!
