Curé of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, KS is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry
who will lead the youth closer to Christ. This position will be dedicated to forming 5th-8th grade.
and High School students with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
This position will work closely with the Director of Parish Faith Formation, be responsible for
Confirmation preparation, coordinate youth events and form a Core Team that supports the youth
ministry.
Responsibilities:
 Develop programming/events for the 5th-8th and High School youth of the parish
 Communicate with the parents, staff and parish
 Confirmation preparation
 Maintain accurate records and emergency contacts
 Responsible for the youth budget
 Attend staff and Johnson Co. Youth Minister meetings and Professional Development as
needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be a practicing Catholic, a degree in Theology is preferred or a Bachelor’s degree with 2
years or more experience in Youth Ministry, possess a current and broad knowledge of Catholic
teachings and youth formation trends and methods, ability to maintain appropriate boundaries
and confidentiality when working with the youth, willingness to work collaboratively within the
pastoral team, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in social media
and basic computer applications, strong organizational and time management skills.
This is a year-round, full-time position that will routinely require some evening and occasional
