Covecrest Guest Experience Specialist

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Provide radical hospitality for all groups through logistics coordination, facility preparation and upkeep.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Foster radical hospitality where Christ is the guest and Christ is the host in us.
  • Prepare and manage all housing, special guest housing, meeting spaces, and activity spaces including design, furnishings, proper maintenance, safety, and comfort of all areas.
  • Provide support in retreat bookings, contract fulfillment, housing fulfillment and preparations.
  • Coordinate logistics with retreat group leaders to ensure our facilities are ready to welcome them—meeting their needs and requests—and to avoid any scheduling or space conflicts between groups.
  • Serve as retreat coordinator in receiving groups and special guests.
  • Assist in basic facility maintenance and groundskeeping in preparation for groups to include tasks from replacing light bulbs to setting up chairs to blowing leaves.
  • Serve in additional areas as needed as life guard, ropes facilitator, group formation leader and/or work project leader.
  • Execute follow up with youth ministers and guests to ensure their satisfaction and thank them for their Covecrest visit.
  • Develop monthly newsletters and updates to camp donors
  • Organize and support volunteer groups improving the camp
  • Assist Life Teen Events team to plan, organize, and communicate logistics for Life Teen events and retreats hosted at our camps during events.
  • Assist as needed in other areas of camp operation, such as Food Services.
  • Assist in monitoring, inventorying and stocking supplies and merchandise for the Outpost and Art Barn.
  • Assist in preparations for summer camp.
  • Assistant to Guest Relations during summer camp
  • Help foster a welcoming environment for youth ministers during summer camp.
  • Oversee the organization of groups and decoration of the dining room for family dinner during summer camp.
  • Adhere to Rule of Life and Community Standards
  • Complete other tasks and projects as needed.

Direct Reports to this Position: Summer Missionaries as needed
