Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

DESCRIPTION

All Saints Catholic Church is seeking a Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing a ministry program for the parish that has four elements: High School Youth Ministry using the Life Teen resource, Middle School Youth Ministry using the EDGE resource, Young Adult Ministry, and Youth Sacramental Preparation. The program will focus on formation and discipleship of young people.

Responsibilities under the supervision of the Director of Family Faith Formation include the following:
• Organization and scheduling of catechetical, social, justice & service, and spiritual events
• Presence at scheduled events
• Volunteer team recruitment, formation, and retention
• Ongoing outreach to teens, parents, young adults, and potential volunteer ministry team members
• Communication with parishioners and parish social media outlets
• Coordination with parish staff and deanery youth ministry coordinators.
Hours will vary and include evenings and weekends.
The ideal applicant is one who has high energy, is well-organized, a solid leader, a self-starter, has strong interpersonal and communication skills, and who will have a collaborative spirit with the parish and staff.

Job Requirements:
Candidates must be well-versed in Catholic teaching and be able to communicate the Gospel message in an engaging manner.
Candidate must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies or Theology or equivalent Youth Ministry Certification in a diocesan-approved formation program. One to two years’ experience in a similar position is preferred.
