Assistant Director of Summer Camps

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Assist in the overall mission and operation of Life Teen Summer Camps to ensure they are serving the mission of Life Teen. Facilitate remote camps and mission camps as well as assist the Director of Summer Camps in the creation of camp programming, registration, and staffing. Ensure that remote camps and all activity at the camp facilities are deeply rooted in prayer and community so that the camp will be more than a site or facility; it will be home and a lighthouse.

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

Oversee site management for Remote Camp and Restore Mission Camps.
- Serve as Remote/Restore Camp Director
- Negotiate contracts with remote locations for work partnerships and housing/meal/programming locations.
- Manage budgets for Remote/Restore Camps that generate self-sustaining revenue.
- Serve as logistical leader for Summer Missionary Coordinator, Leadership Teams, Core Members, and Youth Ministers through daily meetings and main stage presence.
- Ensure camps run consistently and confidently within the mission of Life Teen fostering a positive youth ministry culture.
- Oversee job site coordinators, tool managers, guest relations, and other seasonal employees and mission partners.
Assist with various aspects of the Summer Missions Process such as:
- Recruiting, placements, interviews, and training.
- Discipling and meeting monthly with mission-minded, passionate college students who serve as campus ambassadors.
Adhere to Rule of Life and Community Standards.
Develop a rhythm of prayer and sacraments (personal and community) with all activity and decisions flowing out of this life of prayer, community, and mission within Life Teen.
Foster radical hospitality where Christ is the guest and Christ is the host in us.
