Why Teens Need Steubenville Catholic Youth Conferences

It Changes Everything

What happens at Steubenville can’t be recreated in your parish. In one powerful, Eucharistic weekend, God moves in ways that ignite faith, transform hearts, and breathe new life into your teens—and into your entire parish long after you return home.

Growth in Faith and Friendship

Because we are busy worrying about the details, you are able to focus on being in relationship with your teens while they are focused on being in relationship with Jesus. In the process, teens will connect with like-minded peers who are on the same journey.

Catholic Youth Conferences

Eucharistic Adoration

Teens encounter Jesus in a beautiful, personal way in an experience that is hard to recreate in a parish setting.

The Sacraments

Daily Mass and Reconciliation provide life-changing opportunities to receive God’s mercy and grow closer to Him. Grace changes everything!

Small Groups

Guided discussions help teens process what God is stirring in their hearts, reflect on their weekend, and build lasting friendships. They climb the mountaintop together and return home as a supportive community.

Large Group Sessions

Dynamic talks and high-energy worship create a powerful, 100% Catholic experience that inspires faith and sparks curiosity.

Growth

In just one weekend, teens encounter the Lord, experience the wider Church, and take meaningful steps in their faith. This momentum carries them forward long after the conference ends.

“For the battle belongs to the Lord.”

– 1 Samuel 17:47

Registration FAQs

We strongly encourage you to register your group as soon as possible to ensure availability and help us best prepare for your arrival. Each location has its own early bird and regular rate deadlines. The last day to register for each location will be 10 days before the conference starts.

We love having priests attend the conference with their parishes! The registration fee for priests is waived in gratitude for their willingness to hear confessions, concelebrate Mass, and be present to the teens during the conference. Registration for priests is handled separately from group registration. All priests must register via Clergy Registration. Do not include your priest in the numbers reserved for your group. If you have a priest who would like to attend the conference with your group, please visit the Clergy Registration section of the conference website to read about the required priest paperwork and to fill out the form to get him registered.

If your deacon would like to vest for the conference liturgies, in addition to being registered with your group, he must also fill out the Clergy Registration form and follow the instructions for submitting a Letter of Good Standing.

Yes. In your digital paperwork platform, you’ll need to delete the form of the person no longer attending and have the person replacing them fill out the form using your group’s code. If the replacement is an adult, make sure that they are included on your group’s Safe Environment form.

All groups are held to the cancellation policies that were agreed upon during registration. Deposits are non-refundable, and non-transferrable. Deposits paid for dropped spots cannot be applied to the final balance. Parishes may drop unneeded spots until the end of regular registration, but will forfeit the $50 deposit/spot. Payment in full will be required for all spots not dropped by the end of regular registration. To drop spots, please fill out the Add/Drop Spots Form.

The exchanging of spots between parishes is not allowed. You may choose to bring participants from other parishes to fill spots you purchased; however, by doing so, you assume all responsibility for them as they are considered part of your group. They will be seated with your group, you must have enough chaperones to meet the required ratios, and their paperwork must be completed using your group’s code.

The bus driver is not permitted into the conference unless they are a fully paid participant with the proper paperwork submitted.

Please watch this instructional video that will walk you through how to access your group’s digital paperwork. If you are still having difficulty after watching the video, contact the Events Team at events@lifeteen.com.

All participants attending the conference must complete a digital liability form. To fill out the digital paperwork for your child, you will need to get your group’s code or direct link from your group leader. This instructional video will walk you through the steps for completing the paperwork.

Yes, you have two options to get your teen registered for the conference. You can form and register a small group comprised of yourself, your teen, and some of his or her friends. In that case you would be the group leader. We require a minimum group size of 3 and all groups must comply with the chaperone requirements (1 chaperone per 8 teens of the same gender. Even if you are their parent, we still need you to comply with this policy). The other option is to find out if there is a parish in your area attending the conference and then you can contact the youth minister at that parish to see if they’d be willing to take your teen as a part of their group. Contact the Events Team at events@lifeteen.com to see if any groups from your area are registered.

Youth participants must be age 18 or younger and incoming freshman through just graduated seniors. All chaperones must be 21 years of age or older. All participants must be registered as part of a group with a group leader taking responsibility for adhering to the payment, cancellation, and paperwork policies.

Conference t-shirts must be ordered by May 7th at 12:00pm EST. If you choose not to pre-order, a limited supply will be available at the conference.

The conference t-shirt will be available for sale in spring of 2026.

We do have a limited amount of scholarships available for teens to attend the Steubenville Conferences. If you have a teen in financial need, please submit the scholarship application. Scholarship applications are due by April 15th.

No, infants and children are not allowed at Steubenville Conferences. Although we strongly support Catholic family life, our staffing, facility constraints, and insurance regulations at these conferences do not allow us to provide childcare. Meeting rooms are not designed for the care of young children. In addition, the focus of the group leaders & adult chaperones needs to be on the youth participants. If these adults bring their own children, their focus will be split. With the best care of the youth in mind, this is not allowed.

No, because of safety, security, liability, and safe environment requirements, we aren’t able to have visitors who aren’t registered participants attend any part of the conference.

The Franciscan LEAD weeks that typically take place the week prior to each Steubenville Conference will not be held at these sites in 2026. If you have leadership teens that were hoping to attend LEAD, consider bringing a group to the Life Teen Leadership Conference instead!

We have many needs across different teams for volunteers at our conference. Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form to indicate your interest. You will be contacted by our Volunteer Coordinator if you have been selected to serve as a volunteer.

We are working with each site to determine the best place for buses, vans and cars to park. Please check each site specific page for more details after registration launches. We will include this and all arrival information in your welcome email prior to the conference.
