Covecrest is more than a retreat center and summer camp. Covecrest is a community of Catholics committed to transforming teens, transforming parishes, and transforming culture. Will you join us?
Hidden Lake is home to an incredible Catholic community, gorgeous views, welcoming meeting spaces and so much more. Dedicated to leading teens closer to Christ, we hope you'll be welcomed home to Hidden Lake soon.
Realizing the limits of many social and safety guidelines, we know one area that might be affected is retreat ministry. Though the typical retreat experience might not be possible, we still believe it’s worth the effort to create something reminiscent of these powerful opportunities to encounter Jesus. This fall we want to partner with you to create a moment of encounter for your teens through Vision, a virtual retreat focused on seeing Jesus in the midst of life’s journey.
The Youth Minister’s Retreat is designed to help you renew your personal walk with Christ, connect with fellow youth ministers, and spend time in the beauty of God’s creation this fall at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, Georgia. You can expect to experience engaging talks, encounter God through the sacraments, and have time for personal and communal prayer. All youth ministers – both full time and volunteer – are invited and encouraged to attend.
This is your one stop shop for great Catholic books, community, gifts, events, music, and resources. We are here to serve.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.
Like it or not, youth ministry will be different in the weeks and months to come. What worked a couple of months ago may not even be physically possible today. Without warning, youth ministry has been pushed beyond the boundaries of previous experience. Going forward, there may be much to fear and certainly many unknowns… but grace makes opportunities out of obstacles.
If there is one entity that can meet the world’s needs — when and where they are — it is the pilgrim Church. Though the ministry landscape may be ever-changing, she is always advancing with the pursuit of heaven. At Life Teen, we know that pursuit unfolds in a specific way among the young Church — and we believe that it is a worthy endeavor.
We may not know what the future of youth ministry looks like, but we are committed to paving the way for it today. It’s been said, if you want to go someplace you’ve never been, you have to be willing to do some things you’ve never done. Though the current moment has derailed our regular event plans, we’re not stopping. We’re stepping into the unknown and we’re inviting you to join us. Introducing, The Frontier, a virtual conference for navigating new roads in youth ministry.
Saturday, September 19
Here’s what you can expect from this two-day, live event:
The first day (Friday) is for youth ministry leaders. This would be youth ministers, priests, DREs, music ministers — anyone who is leading the youth ministry efforts at your parish. These sessions are designed to help parish leadership pivot and strategically respond to the changing waters of youth ministry. In addition to training sessions, this day will include opportunities to connect with other youth ministry leaders from around the globe.
The second day (Saturday) is for everyone on your youth ministry team. So all of the people who attend Friday plus your core members, catechists, and any other volunteers who are a key part of your youth ministry. These sessions are designed to equip your whole team for effective virtual or socially distanced relational ministry, small groups, and implementation of adapted resources and new models. In addition to training sessions, this day will include opportunities for intentional conversations and team building within your own team on the local level. While virtual adaptations of these elements will be included, we highly recommend you gather your team together for this day of the conference if possible.
Please note that this conference is for adults only. Teens may not attend, but training videos for teen leaders will be available online soon.
During the registration process, you will need to submit the names and email addresses of all Friday participants. You will not need to submit this information for Saturday participants. We will simply need to know roughly how many people you expect to participate on Saturday and whether you are gathering your team in person or virtually for that day of the conference.
