Summit reflection video for Easter Sunday in Lent with Joel Stepanek.
Covecrest is more than a retreat center and summer camp. Covecrest is a community of Catholics committed to transforming teens, transforming parishes, and transforming culture. Will you join us?
Hidden Lake is home to an incredible Catholic community, gorgeous views, welcoming meeting spaces and so much more. Dedicated to leading teens closer to Christ, we hope you'll be welcomed home to Hidden Lake soon.
The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.
Life Teen’s Catholic Youth Ministry Convention has become America’s premier event for everyone involved in parish youth ministry. Why? Maybe it’s because we are different. We believe in practical, comprehensive youth ministry training. But we don’t think that’s enough. That’s why we incorporate elements of a spiritual retreat into the training convention. Because youth ministry isn’t about what you know, it’s Who you know.
There are many women who are a vital part of salvation history and their stories are critical parts of Sacred Scripture. This scriptural devotion will inspire young women to raise their heads along with Mary, Martha, Lydia, and Esther and look into the eyes of Jesus, the God who loves deeply and perfectly.
You are going to make thousands of decisions today and one of them might change your life. Are you confident that what you want and what God want are the same thing? Don’t leave it up to chance - leave it in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ.
Life Teen strengthens our teens' Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church.
Through discouragement and despair, statistics and scandals, exhaustion and insecurity – you are not alone.
We have a place for you at the Catholic Youth Ministry Convention. Join us for effective and comprehensive youth ministry training, powerful spiritual renewal, and family-like solidarity and support from hundreds of youth workers across the globe.

Life Teen is committed to keeping the health and safety of our event participants and staff a priority in our ministry efforts. While we do not know exactly what the reality of summer will be, nor the guidelines in effect at the time of the event, we do know that 2021 events will most likely look and operate differently than they have in the past. We are grateful for your patience, flexibility, and compliance as we work with each of our venues to ensure all safety protocols are being met. For more information on our particular safety and health practices please download our COVID-19 Safety Plan.
Life Teen is committed to keeping the health and safety of our event participants and staff a top priority. We are grateful for your patience, flexibility, and compliance as we ensure all safety protocols are being met. All groups will be expected to comply with the safety plans and any additional updates to the plan that are made between now and the event.
Please read the Life Teen COVID-19 Safety Plans for the details on what to expect and be sure to communicate this important information to all members of your group.
Our safety plans are subject to change based on government guidelines in place at the actual time of the event. All state and CDC requirements at the time of the event will be met. Further information and adjustments to policies will be communicated as new information becomes available.
We’re excited to welcome as many people from your parish as you’re able to bring to the event! Please be sure that all members from your parish are registered on the same registration. If you need to add more guests to your registration after placing your initial registration, please email Mary Zitelli at firstname.lastname@example.org
Life Teen will not require negative test results from participants upon arrival, but participants are encouraged to obtain negative test results prior to traveling to the event.
No. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the start of the event, or has recently been exposed to COVID-19 should not attend the event. Individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 but are showing no symptoms may attend the event only if they have either previously tested positive and recovered from COVID-19 within the last three months or have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last three months.
Yes, face masks must be worn inside all public areas of buildings, except when actively eating or drinking.
Each parish group will have a seating block together, general session entrance time, and assigned dining space to allow for social distancing during the event.
We will have a designated space on site to quarantine any potentially ill person so that they are comfortable and cared for and to protect the health of all other guests. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 during the event will be taken to this designated space and evaluated. This individual will be required to have a rapid COVID-19 test taken.
If the result is positive, that individual along with the other members of their parish group will be required to depart the event. It will be the responsibility of the participants to arrange transportation and departure of their group from the event.
If the result is negative, first aid and event staff will work with the individual and group to determine the best course of action.
Yes, we will have reduced capacity at the event to accommodate for social distancing. Right now, we expect to be able to admit approximately 60% of normal attendance. Because of this the event may sell out more quickly than in prior years.
All registration fees must be paid no later than May 1st. Payment can be made by check, credit card, or existing credit.
Checks should be made out to Life Teen and mailed to:

Yes! In order to serve as many parishes as possible, we are offering a virtual attendance option this year. The virtual conference experience will include streaming of all general sessions, select breakout sessions, and other interactive conference elements. Cost for a virtual registration is $200 per person. Each virtual attendee must submit and pay for a separate registration. Virtual registration will be available soon.
Your Convention fee includes all sessions, breakouts, and materials. In addition Sunday dinner, Monday lunch and dinner, and Tuesday lunch and dinner are included. Guests are responsible for booking their own hotel rooms.
The expiration date on all existing credits from previously cancelled events has been extended to December 31, 2022. This means you can use your existing credit for any Life Teen event, camp, resource, or subscription until the end of 2022. As a reminder your credit is equivalent to the amount of money paid and is not specific to the event you were registered for or the number of spots you had registered for. If you are unsure whether or not you have remaining credit or the amount of your credit, please contact Mary Zitelli at email@example.com.
The expiration date on unused premium credits that were set to expire between June 2020 and May 2021 was extended so that those free conference credits are able to be used at this event. However, this is the last opportunity to use those premium credits. They will expire if not used to attend this event. Premium credits that are set to expire after June 2021 may be used for any training conference offered between now and their expiration date (which aligns with your subscription renewal date). After that date, they will expire.
To provide more flexibility and help alleviate financial concerns related to any potential COVID-19 cancellations, we have implemented revised cancellation policies. View the full details in our Summer 2021 Cancellation Policies.
Payment in full must be received by May 1st. If your entire group is unable to attend the event, your payment will become credit with Life Teen that can be used until the end of 2022. If individual members of your group are unable to attend the event, we are unable to offer a refund or credit. You are welcome to bring a substitute in place of the individual(s) who can no longer attend.
You may use existing credit to cover fees for this event. The above policies apply whether you use existing credit or pay new money for your registrations.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Life Teen cancels the event, money paid will be eligible for a refund.
We have a limited amount of scholarship money available for youth ministers only. Unfortunately, we do not have funds available for core members. If you are in great need of financial assistance, please download this scholarship application and submit it. Priests should see the Shepherd’s Scholarship info.
Yes! Generous donors have made it possible for all priests to attend any Life Teen training conference for free — because we believe priests are essential for effective youth ministry.
This event provides an opportunity for priests with a passion for their vocation and for serving the young church to connect and support one another. The training sessions will provide you with material to take home to grow your parish community and the times of prayer will contribute to your own spiritual renewal. The combination of these things all in one place leads priests who attend once to return year after year.
Simply indicate you are a priest when you register and your registration fee will be waived. If you’re a priest and you’ve never been to a Life Teen event before, we will also cover your flight and hotel expenses! To receive this portion of the scholarship, please register online for the conference and then submit this Shepherd’s Scholarship application form along with your airfare and hotel receipts to Mary Zitelli, Events Registration Coordinator. Please contact her with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 800-809-3902 ext. 231.
The closest airport is the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). It’s less than 30 minutes drive from the Convention site.
Check-in runs from 11:00am-2:00pm. Convention officially starts at 3:00pm on Sunday. Convention ends at 12:00pm on Wednesday.
Life Teen does not provide transportation to and from the airport for the Convention. We do recommend Uber and Lyft as good options for transportation from the airport to the resort, and for getting around Scottsdale/Phoenix.
These hotels host numerous events throughout the year and sometimes the person on the phone may not be aware of our conference. It may be a simple mistake in relaying the proper information to you. One recommendation is to hang up and call back to speak with a different person. The other recommendation is to ask if every night of your stay is full or if only one night is the issue. If the problem continues, try booking a room at the other property or contact Mary Zitelli, Events Registration Coordinator, at 800-809-3902 ext. 231 or email@example.com
If you have a food allergy we need to be aware of (vegetarian, lactose intolerant, wheat/peanut allergy, etc.), please let us know. There is a section that allows you to share this information with us during the online registration process. We always do our very best to accommodate your needs; however, it never hurts to bring some snacks just in case.
Phoenix is very warm during the summer. Dress to be casual and comfortable. The main room/breakout rooms can get chilly so bring a sweater or sweatshirt too. There is a pool at the resort so bring your bathing suit!
Yes, we will have a digital audio download of all keynote and breakout talks for sale at the conference. The digital download will not contain music that is played at the conference (we cannot record and distribute music for copyright reasons). In the registration process, you will have an option to pre-order the digital download. You can also purchase the download on site. Digital talk downloads cannot be ordered after the event ends or by people who don’t attend the event, so be sure to pre-order yours or order it on site! Cost is $60.
Due to our COVID-19 Safety Plans and socially distancing requirements, we are unfortunately not able to accommodate families of participants at meals or any conference sessions (including liturgies) at the event this year. You are, however, welcome to bring them to the resort with you so they can enjoy the pool while you attend the event!
We would love for you to concelebrate! We ask that you please bring your own vestments (alb & stole) along with a copy of your Letter of Good Standing.
We are here to help you! You can always contact the Events Team with any questions you may have.
