The goal of this Edge Night is to encourage youth who have experienced loss and grief to deal with with it in light of the Resurrection and hope for heaven.

An Edge Issue Night on the Second Coming and Last Judgement

The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to learn more about the Second Coming of Jesus and the Last Judgment as well as the importance to remain prepared for Jesus to come again.

An Issue Night on Community Service

The goal of this Edge Night is to give the youth an opportunity to go out into their community to perform an act of service. This night is meant to put into action all that they have been learning about morality, social justice, and contributing for the good of society.

The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to come to an understanding of what bullying is, why it is harmful, and how to overcome it.

An Issue Night on Peer Pressure

The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to learn how to grow in confidence and learn how this confidence in who they are as a child of God can help them to identify and overcome peer pressure.

An Issue Night on Time Management

The goal of this Edge Night is for the youth to learn how to properly manage their time. In a world that is governed by performance, perfectionism, and involvement they will come to a greater understanding of how to handle all of these outside influences and the importance of centering themselves in Christ and in their families.

An Issue Night on Pope Francis and World Youth Day 2013

The goal of this night is to help the youth get to know Pope Francis through his messages at World Youth Day 2013 in Rio. Youth will learn about Pope Francis and also grow in their understanding of the themes of the most recent World Youth Day.

The goal of this Edge Night is to help the youth see the importance of words and how they impact other people. Furthermore, they will be able to see how their words shape the person they are and their witness as Christians.

The goal of this night is for the middle school youth to come to a greater understanding of their dignity, worth, and their call to live healthy, happy, and holy lives. This Edge Night is intended to be a part of the Catholic Church’s initiative for continuous training and awareness in Safe Environment.

An Issue Night on Honoring Your Parents

The goal of this Edge Night is to challenge the youth to grow in appreciation for their families especially their parents. This night will help the youth learn what it means to honor their father and mother and the importance of obedience. They will also learn about the importance of the family in the world as a reflection of God and how we are all a part of the Christian family.

An Issue Night on Life Teen’s 2013 Theme

The goal of this Edge Night is to bring the middle school youth to a deeper understanding of their personal fears and anxieties, but, even more than that, of God’s greatness that overcomes any fear they may have. By the end of the session the middle school youth will have a more concrete comprehension of what trusting in God can do to dispel fears and help them stand firm in faith.

The goal of this Edge Night is to introduce the youth to the Year of Faith and help them know they are a beloved son or daughter of God.

The goal of this Edge Night is to discuss the ways that rumors, gossip, and slander can hurt not only the dignity of the people around us but ourselves as well; the Christian response to gossip will also be discussed.

The goal of this Edge Night is to help the middle school youth see that they have been created in the image and likeness of God. Because all people are created in God’s image, they have fundamental worth. This means that they have worth, regardless of image or weight.

The goal of this Edge Night is to make the middle school youth aware that our bodies speak a language through our body language, facial expressions, and the way we present ourselves.

The goal of this Edge Night is to provide your local pregnancy resource center with the essential items to help mothers and their babies. We also want the youth to understand the importance of their involvement in the lives of those families in need.

An Issue Night on Popularity

The middle school youth will come to a deeper understanding that popularity should not be our goal, but rather life in Christ, which leads to true happiness. This night will call the group to challenge their assumptions about popularity and seek acceptance and belonging in Christ instead.

The middle school youth will take a deeper look into the serious topic of depression and how this is manifested in their lives. The sessions will also help the middle school youth to seek Jesus Christ to help them, as well as their friends and family when they experience depression.

The middle school youth will come to a greater understanding of the Season of Advent and what Catholics do in preparation for Christmas and the Second Coming of Christ.

The goal of this night is to look at the advantages and disadvantages of many of today’s technological advances, especially those in communication, and to encourage the middle school youth to use these forms of technology in the right ways.

The middle school youth will develop a greater understanding of why cheating is destructive and how we are called to act as Catholics.

The middle school youth will examine the priorities in their lives and be challenged to see the importance of setting Christ and their faith life above all other things. Their other priorities will fall into place when God is set as number one.

The middle schoolers will recognize the importance of making good choices; whether small or large; in their lives. They will realize that many of the choices they make affect them more than they know, as well as realizing that their choices can affect other people too.

The middle school youth will discover new ways to deal with stress in their lives. They will also learn to prioritize their lives to eliminate some of the things that cause stress.

The middle school youth will gain a deeper understanding of what true joy is and how it can only be found in a life centered on Jesus Christ.
