The Wedding Feast The Mass as a Wedding About this Life Night This Life Night begins with a wedding feast. Invite parents and parishioners to donate food and help serve for the first part of the Gather. Teenagers have an opportunity to socialize and have fun before the Proclaim. During the teaching, teenagers learn that every Mass is a wedding feast and a display of Christ’s love for us. Teenagers discuss this reality during a short Break, before ending the Life Night with a time of silent Eucharistic Adoration. Goal of This Night This Life Night promotes an understanding of Mass as the Wedding Feast of the Lamb. Teenagers are challenged to approach Mass with joy and reverence, and to use every Mass as an opportunity to dedicate themselves to Christ. The Church is the bride of Christ, and Christ sanctifies the Church by sacrificing himself for her. Mass is the wedding feast of the Church and Christ. We are all invited to this wedding feast and Christ gives himself to us in the Eucharist. We must arrive at Mass prepared and properly disposed to celebrate this wedding feast. The Mass is the demonstration of God’s love for us; “the greatest love story ever told is contained in a tiny white host.” End of Free Preview Thanks for reviewing this Life Night!
