Unfinished A Life Night on Life Teen's Annual Theme About This Life Night This Life Night begins with a relay race that introduces the idea that we “run so as to win (1 Corinthians 9:24.)” The Proclaim relates training for sports to training for our spiritual lives. With both, our training is never finished; there is always room for continued growth. We must train for the eternal finish line, which is Heaven. The Break is a small group discussion on the Proclaim. The Life Night ends with a Spiritual Training Handout and prayer asking for God’s help to achieve our spiritual goals. Goal of This Night The goal of this Life Night is to introduce teens to the idea that God is not finished with us. God has, and will always have, more abundant life for us. Catechism # 213 - 221 Scripture Proverbs 3:10 John 10:10 1 Corinthians 9:24 -27 2 Timothy 4:7 Key Concepts There is always infinitely more to learn about God and infinitely closer we can get to Him because in His nature He is infinite. In our sports, activities, and art our practice is never finished. We continually train so that we grow stronger, become better, and refine our skills. Likewise, in our spiritual lives, we are unfinished and we are called to continually grow closer to the Lord. The Lord always has more for us – more goodness, truth, and beauty, more love and more hope. There is always a next step in His great plan for us. Life with the Lord is abundant.
