Look Up! An Issue Life Night on Technology About this Life Night This Life Night gives the opportunity for young people to look at how attached they are to technology. The Life Night begins with a technology relay using various types of current technology and continues with a video about how we are lonely in a world full of social media. During the Proclaim, teens are encouraged to actively engage in life rather than immerse themselves in technology. Teenagers break into partner groups for a meaningful conversation with one another during the Break. The Life Night ends with a prayer and a challenge for teenagers to become less attached to technology and more engaged in the people around them. Goal of This Night The goal of this Life Night is to help teens understand that our attachment to technology makes us miss the world around and that through detachment to technology, we can have life more abundantly. Catechism # 972 # 2293 Scripture Luke 2:19 Luke 2:51 John 10:10 Key Concepts God calls us to live life abundantly and to be fully alive. At the heart of our attachment to technology is the desire to not miss out on the things around us, when in fact, by being attached to technology, we miss out what’s really happening around us. Mary is the example of us reflecting on the events of our lives in her heart. End of Free Preview Thanks for reviewing this Life Night!
