> (Greater Than) A Life Night on Freedom in Christ About this Night The Gather is a version of the game show Let’s Make a Deal in which the teens decide if an unknown prize will be greater than the prize they already have. The Proclaim compares the confusion and chaos caused by the fallen world to the freedom and peace offered by Christ. The Break is a discussion that helps the teens process the concept of freedom. The Send is a reflection activity on the cross. Goal of This Night The goal of > (Greater Than) is to bring to light the distortions caused by original sin that teens experience daily and the negative effects they have on us, specifically in regard to identity. It also echoes the voice of Christ, which calls us to freedom and empowers us with grace to overcome the effects of original sin. Jesus, through His life and teachings, points us back to who we are and challenges us to live in a way that is often countercultural and unpopular but leads us to know truth and freedom. Through the death and Resurrection of Jesus, we have the grace to resist sin and its effects in our lives.
