Life Teen's Annual Theme

About this Life Night

The Gather engages the teens by challenging them to say “yes” to unique questions. The Proclaim breaks open the word “fiat” and explains what it means for our lives. The Break is an opportunity for lectio divina and discussion on Mary’s fiat. The Send allows the teens to place their trust in Mary by praying the Chaplet of the Fiat.

Goal of This Night

The goal of this Life Night is to introduce teens to Life Teen’s 2019 theme, Fiat. It will provide teens with an opportunity to meditate on Mary’s “yes,” while contemplating their willingness to surrender to the will of the Father.

• Words have the power to create. We have witnessed this power through the stories of creation and Mary’s fiat.
• God did not force Mary to be the mother of Jesus; rather, she accepted her role with humility and trust.
• God invites each of us to speak the word “fiat” in order to bring the light of Jesus to others through our unique creativity and adventure.
