Faith Like A Child Parent Night About This Night Faith is present in the life of every person but can be taken for granted or ignored. This night will focus on how the gift of faith is not only valuable and precious to each person but how it is lived out in our own dependence on God and how we as parents use our faith to nurture the faith of our families. This Parent Night begins with an activity in which the parents write down statements about themselves and then cross them out based on different criteria. The teaching for this night stresses the importance of a personal faith journey and how the faith of parents influences the faith of children. After a time of small group discussion, the Parent Night will close with prayer and a renewal of baptismal promises. Goal of This Night The goal of this night is to encourage the parents to examine the importance of faith in their own spiritual journey and the importance of faith in the domestic church – their families. It will introduce the parents to the “Year of Faith” and challenge them to re-engage and enliven their faith and the faith of those in their family.
