Eternal Crown Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory About this Life Night During the Gather the teens, in small groups, work together to choose the ending of the story. The Proclaim discusses the choice God gives us to choose life with Him or life without Him and how that choice extends into eternity. The Break is a small group discussion on the Proclaim. During the Send, the teens learn about and receive a Miraculous Medal. Goal of This Night The goal of Eternal Crown is to understand Heaven and Hell through the lens of Mary, Queen of Heaven, and to teach that our eternal end is our choice. Catechism # 966 # 1023 - 1037 Scripture Matthew 13:41 -42 1 John 3:2 Revelation 11:19 Proclaim Key Concepts • Heaven is our ultimate end and the fulfillment of our deepest human longings. It is the state of supreme happiness. It is in union with God. • Hell is the opposite of Heaven. It is absolute isolation from God who alone can satisfy our deepest longings. It is complete emptiness. • In the book of Revelation, the Protoevangelium comes full circle. The woman and her offspring fight their enemy, the serpent. The blood of the sacrificial lamb conquers sin and the faithful gain access to union with God in Heaven.
