Encounter A Life Night on Jesus' Presence in the Sacraments About This Life Night The Life Night begins with a fun Gather dynamic that proves humans have limitations. The Proclaim discusses how Jesus is not only present to us in our humanity but also how He infuses divine life into our human life through the sacraments. The Break is a journal reflection on Jesus’ presence to us in our human experience and a small group discussion. During the Send, the teens get the opportunity to renew their baptismal promises. Goal of This Night The goal of this Life Night is for the teens to recognize how Jesus is present and dispenses divine life in the sacraments. Catechism # 461 # 739 # 1127 - 1131 # 1997 - 2002 Scripture Matthew 28:18 -20 Mark 2:13 -17 John 1:1 -14 John 10:10 Proclaim Key Concepts Jesus is fully human and fully divine. When He walked the earth, He experienced human emotions (hunger, sadness, joy) and comforted those in their human experience. Not only did He understand what it was to be human, but He also infused His divinity into humanity. When people were hungry, He multiplied the loaves and fed them. When people were sick, He worked miracles and healed them. Jesus continues to meet us today and infuse our humanity with divine life. He does this most concretely through the sacraments.
