Carrying Hope Faith and Injustice About this Life Night The Gather requires the teens to assemble a box without proper tools, after which they fill it with heavy objects and race to a finish line. The Proclaim gives an overview of the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching and explains the importance of taking action toward social issues within the context of the Church’s teachings. The Break gives the teens a chance to reflect on their small group’s social issue in light of Catholic Social Teaching. The Send is a time of hopeful prayer in Eucharistic Adoration. Goal of This Night The goal of Carrying Hope is to introduce the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching, while offering the teens an opportunity to encounter the hope we have in Christ.
