This is the final night in the “Year of Faith” series and it challenges teens to adopt an attitude of humble service as a necessary expression of their faith. The night begins with a funny game that requires pairs of teens to feed each other using only their feet. This leads into the Proclaim of the night, which discusses the reality that service isn’t always fun or pretty – sometimes it’s hard and ugly. Teens will be challenged to see service as a way of life, rather than an optional activity that is “nice” to do. The Break will provide teens with opportunities to find ways to put their faith into action through rotating sessions involving local organizations and parish ministries. The closing prayer during the Send gives small groups an opportunity to wash each other’s feet and to pray with one another as the series comes to a close.
