We are growing and expanding! Our pastor is passionate about creating a culture of engagement and pathways for disciples to grow in their faith. He and the entire amazing parish has a dedicated Life teen Cafe space and a commitment for two full time Lifeteen/Edge leaders – come go and grow with us!
Student Discipleship Coordinator (6th grade thru high school)
Relational Ministry and Discipleship:
Create a culture of accompaniment that fosters discipleship through large and small group ministries, retreats, and year round events designed to help youth understand and embrace their Catholic faith.
Provide opportunities for prayer, reflection, and sacramental preparation.
Sacrament Preparation:
Prepare high school students to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation through large and small group meetings, retreats, and service opportunities.
Lead parents and sponsors in their opportunity to learn, understand and fulfill their roles during the Confirmation process.
Pastoral Care:
Offer a supportive presence to youth in times of difficulty, challenge, and personal growth.
Provide a safe environment for open dialogue and emotional support, nurturing their spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with parents, Core Team, parish staff, and clergy to ensure seamless coordination of youth activities, integration into parish life, and alignment with the overall mission of the church.
Cascade information via clear, concise and proactive communication channels to proactively keep all participants informed (core team, staff, team, students, parents).
Outreach and Evangelization:
Develop strategies to attract and engage new youth members while maintaining connections with current members.
Foster an environment and culture of mission driven evangelization within the youth community and their guardians.
Provide opportunities for parents and the Core Team to grow in their faith through every aspect of communications – verbal, in person, via email and other proactive forms of communication.
Leadership Development:
Recruit, train, and minister to the Core Team that assists in the ministry. Identify and nurture leadership potential within the youth, empowering them to take active roles within the ministry and larger church community and guiding them in their own faith journeys.
Lead by example in modeling the attributes of an engaged, faithful, Catholic lay ministry leader with exemplary professionalism to the faith community at large.
Administration:
Model stewardship by managing all resources including budget, volunteer hours, resources, and materials necessary for youth ministry programs.
Keep accurate records of attendance and work hours so the growth of the program can be appropriately scaled and managed.
Communication channels to keep participants, their guardians and parish staff informed.
Professional Growth:
Mindset of continuous process of improvement – always seeking best practices and opportunities to leverage insightful feedback to grow Student Discipleship ministry to the next level.
Willing and able to receive feedback for personal ongoing professional growth.
Actively participate in parish development opportunities such as staff in service, team meetings, retreats, coaching and leveraging your Strengths finder resources.
St Charles is responding to incredible growth by seeking a faith-filled, missionary disciple to join our AMAZING parish staff! We are located in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and only an hour east of Madison, WI.
A snapshot of our current formation 99 confirmation candidates, 101 first communion children, 100 baptisms year to date and more then 500 parishioners in 55 EC small groups is a testament to ‘build it they will come!’.
