The Steubenville Youth Conferences, an outreach of Franciscan University of Steubenville, are a series of 24 conferences across North America that help teens encounter the love of Christ every summer. Each summer, Life Teen hosts several Steubenville Youth Conferences with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.

The Youth Ministry Coordinator is a full time position coordinating the ministerial efforts of the spiritual, intellectual, and human realities of middle and high school youth of the Parish. The position requires a confidence in articulating the teachings of the Catholic Faith that is attractive, orthodox, and age appropriate.
This position includes creating and managing a communications strategy as well leading other ministry projects so our parishioners and their families can grown in their relationship with Jesus.
This position requires the ability to develop a strong volunteer base and a willingness to work with the Pastor and Associate Pastor of the Church.
In addition, this position also works with our mission parish, St. Francis of Assisi in Whitesboro as well as with St. Mary’s School. They will coordinate with our Director of Religious Education as well as promotes the involvement of youth and young adult participation in all appropriate elements of Parish Life. Events include but not limited to Retreats and Conferences, Service and prayer opportunities.
One must be able to accommodate flexible working hours, with frequent evening and weekend responsibilities.
Active in the Roman Catholic faith with a thorough knowledge and understanding of Catholic teachings, preferred.
Bachelors’ Degree required
3 Three years Minimum Ministry experience required (paid or volunteer)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) – professionally communicate, minister to and represent the St. Mary Parish Community.
Bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish fluently.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point as well as Google Applications
Ability to use or learn mass communication, website and social media tools such as Flocknote, Constant Contact, or eCatholic sites.
Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects.
The position requires unique physical activity, inclusive but not limited to packing and moving of supplies, handling uncomfortable sleeping arrangements during retreats and conferences and driving skills.
St. Mary’s Parish is a dynamic community located just south of the Oklahoma border. Rich in tradition and history, the first Mass for St. Mary’s Parish was celebrated in 1872. The Parochial School attached to the Church serves students grades preK-8th. We are looking for a passionate, driven, Christ-centered individual to join our parish community and to walk with our teens in faith!
