Description
Our Lady of the Presentation, a dynamic and active parish of 2500+ families, has an opening for a Youth Ministry Coordinator to join our pastoral staff under the direct supervision of the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The Coordinator will support the Director in creating a comprehensive vision for Youth Ministry at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church. The Youth & Young Adult Ministry will draw young people to the responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community. The Youth and Young Adult Ministry will foster their personal and spiritual growth. The Coordinator will most directly implement, connect with, and focus on the Youth in 6th-8th Grade.

Requirements
Be a collaborative team member that provides amazing hospitality to youth and their families. Ensure a safe environment for all middle school Youth Ministry programming. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee religious education for 6th-8th grade Youth during the school year.
• Implement and Coordinate summer Middle School programs in the Parish and around the Region.
• Facilitate Social/Fellowship/Service Gatherings.
• Identify potential catechists.
• Assist in conducting registration.
• Establish & connect Youth from the Religious Education program to the Y/YA Ministry Program.
• Provide Collaborative Support to the Director for all levels of the Youth Ministry Program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Communicate effectively: oral, written and verbal is required.
• Compliant with Diocesan Safe Environment policies, Virtus© certified or willing to be trained.
• Willingness to work some nights and weekends.
• Bachelor’s level Degree in Related Field of Study preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in ministry or Religious Education preferred but not required.
• Basic skill level in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual is beneficial but not required.
• Youth Ministry experience is desirable.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
