DESCRIPTION

Youth Minister Position

  • Develop, oversee and coordinate youth ministry programs across the family of parishes.
  • Utilize creative approaches to evangelization, incorporating modern technology and social media.
  • Plan and lead engaging youth programs, events, retreats and activities that promote spiritual growth.
  • Encourage fellowship and provide opportunities for youth to serve the family and community.
  • Work collaboratively with parish leadership, volunteers, and families to strengthen youth engagement.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate ministry needs.

Religious Education Coordinator

  • Recruit, train and oversee volunteer catechists.
  • Direct faith formation programs for children (Kindergarten through Confirmation) and Adult RCIA.
  • Coordinate retreats and days of reflection opportunities for the parish.
  • Ensure compliance with Diocesan guidelines for curriculum, sacramental records and child protection policies.
  • Plan & prepare liturgy, ceremony and rehearsals for all sacramental celebrations
  • Develop and manage the annual faith formation calendar in collaboration with parish staff and clergy.
  • Collaborate with pastor and business manager to prepare an annual budget and follow parish best practices for financial reporting by submitting financial records in a timely manner to the business manager.

The Lord’s Vineyard Family of Catholic Parishes – Northern Chautauqua County, NY. The Lord’s Vineyard – a newly formed family of five Catholic parishes serving approximately 1800 registered families. Leadership of a combined Faith Formation program was previously held by two part-time coordinators, serving students in Grades K – 10 across the family.

The Lord’s Vineyard includes Holy Trinity, St. Anthony, Blessed Mary Angela and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parishes, working together in closed collaboration to build a vibrant Catholic community in Dunkirk and the surrounding area. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, The Lord’s Vineyard’s Central Office is just minutes from SUNY Fredonia, offering the beauty of small-town life with the energy of a college community.
