DESCRIPTION
This full time position would oversee our Middle and High School youth programs and our confirmation preparation program.
We are seeking someone who can be innovative and offer opportunities to meet the varied needs of the spiritual growth of our youth, helping them to discover and develop their relationship with Christ. We are looking for a faith-filled, energetic, youth minister who is interested in sharing the faith through relational and group youth ministry. Currently we offer both Life Nights and Edge Nights weekly, with small discipleship group ministry in stages of development. An ideal candidate would also have ideas about building community among our youth at the parish, since we currently serve youth who attend over 8 local high schools. This position oversees the planning, development and preparation of our teens ready for the sacrament of Confirmation. This position collaborates with the Director of Formation about how to best meet the needs of our youth, their families and our parish.
Our parish is a vibrant, close-knit community with 2700 families currently registered. We serve about 225-250 youth in our current MS/HS programs. With our spacious new sanctuary complete in the next year, we expect our parish to grow tremendously. Our current formation staff consists of the Director, the youth minister and a sacrament prep coordinator. We collaborate together to realize our vision for the formation of youth. Our vision is to help teens fall in love with Jesus and yearn to know Him more. Because parents are given the beautiful task to form their teens in the faith, we offer to partner with them to form their teens as Disciples of Christ in our Catholic Faith. Through our large and small group programs and events, we strive to provide community building, service and leadership development opportunities for our youth.
