Holy Cross Area Faith Community in New Ulm is seeking an energetic Youth Minister! This position is negotiable part-time, to full-time hours.

This individual is responsible for development and implementation of youth and young adult programming in the Holy Cross Area Faith Community. This individual will lead teens and young adults closer to Christ and His church through a comprehensive youth ministry program.

The ideal candidate will:
• Be a practicing Catholic with a strong knowledge of the Catholic faith, including the ability to use exegesis to proclaim the Gospel to unpack Church teachings
• Previous experience working with youth, including planning and implementing youth events, preferred.
• Understanding of and commitment to the teachings and values of the Roman Catholic Church as found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other other recognized sources of authentic Catholic Tradition.
• Possess a theology of ministry that continues to feed the most active teens while seeking to evangelize those teens who are less engaged.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an area of Theology, Catholic Studies, and/or Youth Ministry is preferred.
• Have strong organizational skills and oral and written communication skills.
• Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to connect, collaborate, and form effective partnerships with a wide range of individuals.
• To be able to speak, read and write English at college level.
• Able to pass required background check and complete required training.
