DESCRIPTION
The missionary internship program is the best way to get a taste of domestic missionary life! If you have a call for serving others and God has placed a desire in you for living radically for the Gospel, this internship is something you should discern. We believe that when God calls people to mission, it’s because He seeks to transform their hearts and lives in a way only mission can accomplish. Over the course of this summer internship, missionaries will be formed, challenged, and pushed beyond their perceived limits to do great things for teens on the margins.
The 2023 summer internship will take place in Houston, TX from June 2nd – July 16th. Anyone 18 or older who has graduated high school and can complete safe environment training and a background check is eligible.
We will provide housing in a host home for the summer, a team to work with, fundraising and on the job ministry training, regular spiritual formation and accountability, human and professional development, ample opportunities to grow in skill and holiness.

We envision lives, and indeed churches, renewed through people worshiping God with their whole lives through knowing, loving and serving God in the ordinary and extraordinary. We pursue this vision by sending missionaries to the underserved communities in the church to work with their junior high and high school youth, and developing relationships and trust with their families and the greater parish community. Our aim is to remain steadfast in our presence and show that life in Christ is worth living. At their best, these parishes are realizations of the whole of Adore’s mission.
Our goal for our missionaries is to create a sustainable lifestyle and to give them the freedom to serve with their gifts and passion. We strive to build an environment and culture that allows people to begin their journey in ministry or continue in it sustainably for the long term. We support our missionaries so that they can thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially whether single, married, just out of college, discerning religious life, or even if you have a house full of kids.
