DESCRIPTION
We are looking for zealous Catholics, between 19-29 years old, who want to inspire the next generation of Catholics to live out their faith. SPIRITUS youth ministry interns live in community (residing in their own bedrooms), travel to schools and parishes throughout Wisconsin, and inspire 5,000+ youth in grades 2nd-12th through retreats, spiritual programs, and parish-based youth ministry. SPIRITUS youth ministry interns come to Wisconsin and spend nine months on mission from mid-August to mid-May. As a youth ministry intern you will also be serving on team as a SPIRITUS Missionary. You’ll get the chance to learn valuable evangelization, youth ministry and leadership skills all while deepening your faith and discerning God’s plan for your life. It’s an unique opportunity to serve our Lord and help young Catholics know the person of Jesus Christ.
Compensation: You’ll receive one-on-one mentoring, spiritual direction, lodging, food, monthly allowance of $175, health insurance and $3,000 upon completion of the mission year.
Mount Tabor Center is a youth retreat center, home to SPIRITUS Ministries which focuses on inspiring Catholic youth and young adults across the state of Wisconsin. SPIRITUS is a fast growing evangelization ministry. SPIRITUS missionaries are young adults between 19-29 who work out of Mount Tabor Center in Wisconsin. They travel throughout Wisconsin inspiring youth and forming young adult Catholics to grow in faith and follow Jesus through retreats and youth ministry internships. The SPIRITUS missionaries inspire 5,000 Catholic youth and young adults during nine months of service (August – May). The SPIRITUS missionaries also live in an intentional community, delve into a beautiful life of prayer, receive formation each week and spiritual direction each month. These young adults are formed to be missionary disciples and experience the exciting adventure of living for Christ in a radical way, while changing the lives of the next generation of Catholics.
