The Secondary Youth Formation Director will provide vision, development, and coordination for the parish’s comprehensive youth ministry efforts for the Secondary/High School program including preparation for Confirmation, Catechesis, and Youth Ministry. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.
The position requires a person of Christian faith who strives to live a life guided by Gospel principles, rooted in personal prayer and lived out in the Catholic faith community.
The Secondary Youth Formation Director should be formed in the Catholic theological tradition, knowledgeable about Sacred Scripture, Sacramental, and Church teachings, in general.
A self-motivated person who can effectively recruit and manage volunteers, maintain both strong written and verbal skills with a high degree of confidentiality, is needed. Understanding the needs, development and culture of youth is imperative.
B.A. in Theology, Religious Studies, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry or related field, and three to five years of related experience working with youth, is preferred.
