Area Director Job Description
Job Title: Area Director of VM PITTSBURGH AREA
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Reports To: Director of Ministry based at the Pittsburgh, PA Executive Offices
Number of staff supervised: 12-15
Departments/Job Titles Supervised: Team Leads and Missionaries
Salary Range: (Dependent upon support raising)
$45,000-$ 65,000.00
ESSENTIAL PREREQUISITES FOR ALL STAFF MEMBERS (FROM DIRTY VAGABOND MINISTRIES’S BYLAWS – ARTICLE VII):
Ministry Functions:
Spiritual Development — “Following Jesus” includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships.
Leadership Development — “Equipping leaders, committee and staff” includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development — “Fueling the ministry” includes events, major donor care, and public relations (branding).
Direct Ministry — “Proclaiming and modeling” includes contact work, Breakout, Worship Nights and retreats.
Ministry Support — “Taking care of business” includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.
