DESCRIPTION

A NET Uganda Missionary seeks to challenge young people to love Christ and embrace the life of the church. This is applied through facilitating retreats, worship nights and youth groups across Uganda. Each missionary is on a team of 5-9 young adults who will live in community together after the initial training. International missionaries will be fully immersed in the life and culture of Uganda, learning how to cook, clean and dance like a Ugandan. The mission year runs from November until September the following year. There is also often the option to do a one month mission in June.

Missionary Requirements:

  • NET Uganda considers unmarried practicing Catholics between the ages of 18-35 for our program. Applicants must have turned 18 before the beginning of training for the mission year they are applying for.
ABOUT PARISH/ SCHOOL/ ORGANIZATION

Originally founded in the States over 30 years ago NET has now expanded into 6 different countries. NET Uganda was established about 20 years ago. NET (National Evangelisation Teams) seek to gather a group of young adults to travel the country in a team chosen for them evangelising everywhere they go. NET Uganda is unique in that it is the only African branch of NET. In Uganda ministries can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 weeks in length and you can be ministering to 1 or 1000 people. The ministry in Uganda is so diverse whilst always pointing the youth to Christ.
