DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
Source and attract potential full time and summer missionaries by investing and maintaining personal relationships. Sourcing candidates through events, advertising campaigns, campus ministry/parish visits, and social media. Maintain a donor network in order to reach annual fundraising goal.

Salary: Fundraising

Essential Ministry Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining daily and weekly missionary schedule, including rhythm of prayer, on going formation, and community aspects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates.
  • Research and develop systems/software for keeping track of communication and potential outreach to candidates.
  • Track and keep record of all communication with potential candidates.
  • Assessing the hiring needs of full time and summer missions.
  • Designing and implementing recruitment strategies such as events and social media campaigns.
  • Researching hiring trends and compiling recruitment reports and presentations.
  • Sourcing talented candidates through a variety of means including events, advertising, and databases.
  • Maintaining relationships with campus ministries, parishes, student organizations, and recruitment networks.
  • Point person for organizing recruitment trips including college campus, seek, etc.
  • Hosting and attending in person and virtual career days and conferences.
  • Participate in the missionary recruitment and interview process.Work closely with Director of Summer Camps in order to assess and fulfill recruitment needs.
  • Communicate with camp staff to foster unity.
  • Oversee missions recruitment expenditures, and submit receipts for missions card.
  • Maintaining relationships with 1st year and summer missionaries.Tracking the performance of new hires
  • Speaking on behalf of Life Teen
  • Adhere to Rule of Life and Community Standards.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as needed.

  • Proficiency in Catholic theology and theological language.
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, organization, efficiency, and communication.
  • Well-developed sense of workflow, time management and prioritization of projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church and faith.
  • Knowledge of Catholic youth ministry and Life Teen programming and resources.
  • Ability to manage personnel and provide direction to others.
  • Ability to present to large and small groups.
  • Ability to communicate deep theological concepts to adults and young adults with varying degrees of knowledge and education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and to receive constructive criticism.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a heart for taking care of others.
  • Good judge of character and decision-making skills.
  • Great networking abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of recruitment practices and keeping up to date with trends.
  • Experienced in Catholic Youth Ministry with a servant’s heart and ministry mindset.
  • Public Speaking
  • Prior missions experience.
